Florida Rep. Richard L. Steinberg Admits To Harassing Married Assistant U.S. Attorney By Text Message

You'd think that after the Wiener incident these guys would start using burn phones or pasted letters for this sort of thing.

What is very interesting (and typical) is that in the first 3-4 top search rerturns, the un-biased main-scream media failed to mention that Steinberg is a Democrat. I had to go to the Florida house website Florida House of Representatives - Richard*L.*Steinberg* to find out what his affiliation is. If this had been a Republican, it would have been blasted at 110 decibels.

Of course it would. If he was a Republican, it would've been part of the headline.

That said, claiming that you're the party of Family Values comes at a price. Especially when you get caught doing something in contravention to what that is supposed to mean. I'm sorry, but Repubs started that stuff back in the mid-80s, and they got carried away with it. So they've gotta be perfect human beings, or they're gonna get called out on it. They asked for it, and they've got it.

Asserting that the GOP is the Party of Family Values also asserts that Democrats are NOT the Party of Family Values.

Is that a tag that Democrats relish?

In other words the Democrats don't have family values linked to their agenda so there's no need to point it out? Good to know.

With reasoning like this should they run as "the party of no values?"

Neocon/teabagger "family values" only apply to heterosexual white Christian families who don't use birth control. They don't apply to gay families, non-Christian families, and especially not the families in other countries they bomb in the name of profits for big oil and the military-industrial complex.

So basically, the assertion that Democrats don't have family values is a Free Pass to engage in everything you mentioned here?

This sounds like Moral Decay that you are promoting.

There really is no difference between Republican and Democratic deluded fools.

AFAIK Democratic Family Values do not include enslaving women to thier fathers, brothers or husbands. Most RW family values are based on making women property.
