Yep, old Jay says that it wasn't Obama that turned down that line, but the GOP that pushed him into doing it. Later he told Jake Tapper, of ABC, that there was some involvement in studies forced by the State Department. I thought that Hillary worked for Obama but then maybe Carney knows something we don't know.

He's right, it was shot down because of bright red Nebraska.

Do you really know a lot about why Nebraska didn't want that path followed? I think not since all you wanted to do here was say something cute about the state.

Did you bother to read any of what Carney did say? He stuck his foot in it in this one and I wonder how long it will take to wipe it off.

Of course, it appears you haven't as you wouldn't post this kind of response if you did

The whole thing. I'm not seeing any kind of "foot in it"

Actually both parties did the damage...

Obama and his democrats for failing to man-up and make a decision either for or against before the election.. couldn't **** off either his labor union support or his environmental support both having opposite sides of the issue... those campaign contributions had to keep coming...

And the Republicans ... for tying the issue to other legislation and trying to force his hand. Everyone involved knew that wasn't going to work....

And honestly... no sense re-hashing old news... it'll be back in about 3 years.... it can be discussed then...

Whatever. I wish and hope it WAS Obama that shot it down as a lesson to foreign companies that come into the United States threatening people with Eminent Domain. Serves 'em right.

Of course you can't see Carney blaming the GOP people in Congress and then changing over to blaming the ongoing study of what should be done. Surely even you know that one thing or the other is to blame and not both.

Have you ever lived near the sandhills of Nebraska or even been in that territory? I lived a number of years in the area of Kansas that is dependent on the Ogalalla Aquifer and, in fact, where I live right now it is a major source of water. You do now, of course, that it was that Aquifer that worried the people of the Corn State.

The oil will be headed directly to China and won't be back this fall or in 3 years. Of course, Obama didn't see any of this when he shut down drilling in the Gulf and caused the rigs to go to Brazil for deep water drilling. He was sure that the owners would want them to sit idle while he toyed with how best to aid Brazil. He knows that we must have oil but is sure that his friendship for the head man in Iran will keep them from shutting down any more shipments of oil to Britain and France. Where do they get their oil now? Could it be from us or maybe Venezuela or even Brazil?

You are pushing harder and harder toward the far left these days, it seems.
