I don't think us little peons are hated. They probably feel sorry for us. I think it is our Government that these people have a problem with. No differnet really then us citizens, who have a problem within our government.

However we may be a hated Country? until that Country, seeks and needs the help of the US. then there we are ready and willingly to help.

Unfortunately America has always been good at shoving it's ideals down the throats of people who have other ideals. I personally like American ideals and that's why i spent a small fortune immigrating and working here.
In the beginning our "preachers" went around the Country trying to convert the native American to their Christianity and ideals. WHY?????????????????
Today America wants to convert other nations to our form of democracy and ideals....... WHY?????
America is tearing itself apart internally with our political system and we wonder why other Countries don't want it.
America is not the Policeman of the World and to give aid or to stop crimes upon humanity in other Countries must be a global effort and not a American effort. We bring the hatred of muslims upon us by becoming the warrior in chief against them.To be honest if the middle east didn't have oil we wouldn't give a damn.
America is a great Country with amazing people but our leaders must now stop saving the world, it only kicks us in the butt, costs us a fortune and our brave guys and girls die for no good reason.
The World doesn't hate America but a hell of a lot more of the world respected America far more when it didn't rush into war.
America now needs to concentrate on America....... not change the World.

And the UN is wanting very badly to take our "wealth" and redistribute it among all those haters. Of course, they only talk about redistribution but won't be giving it to those who really need it.

Approximately when did that fort building take place? I ask this because I know when the Muslim Brotherhood came to the US and know that they have been bent on taking us out from inside. Of course, they speak hatred for the Christians here and other Muslims are afraid to cross them for fear of losing their heads or solid skinned necks.

It would be nice if the American people opened up a book and read about our government's actions in Iran in 1953. They have all the right in the world to dislike us.
Not just Iran, but this happened in Iraq, Palestine, Cuba, Guatemala, and Vietnam too.

Meh. I love America and consider myself very lucky to be an American. I know full well this country isn't perfect nor can it really be said that it's the "best country in the world", however, it's the best country in the world for me. Our government sucks and the world probably views Americans like the idiots on Jersey Shore and Real Housewives of "enter name of city here". It's a shame, but it's out of my control.

I've been to about 6 or 7 other countries and was respectful of their culture and language. I wish people immigrating here would do the same. Anyway, I didn't talk about America unless I was asked something in particular, nor did I try to hide the fact that I was American. Doing something like that is true cowardice.

Not really, the UN budget is composed fairly balanced.

USA contributes 22% of the UN budget. The USA controls 22% of the world GDP.

Let me twist that, perhaps if Americans were not such greedy cowards who leech off of developing countries, other countries can contribute more to the UN.

See how easily words are twisted there Roy?

Again, for someone who says they have spent time teaching, you sure lack basic knowledge of worldly matters.

Greedy? Maybe. Cowards? I think not. We are the war-mongerers, right? I mean, if we were cowards we would cower in a corner somewhere when the going got rough.

Why does this have to happen? America supported the Shah of Iran, who was a dictator, Saddam Hussein (in the 1980s) who was a dictator, Ngo Dinh Diem who was a dictator, Fulgencio Batista, who was a dictator, Hosni Mubarak, who was a dictator, Ehud Olmert, who is/was a war criminal, and a dictator in Central America who I can't think of right now. America also sided with the Taliban during the Soviet-Afghan war.
