This is nothing new. It was the elite that gave the rest of us our rights. Jefferson was the one who said you shouldn't have to own property and pay taxes to have equal rights and vote, and quality education should be accessible to the rest of the common folk. The elite and rich have ALWAYS seen themselves as better than us. It's the same ish today. This shouldn't surprise anyone.

typical democrat/liberal. using one case and painting everyone in a similar tax bracket with the same brush. well i can tell you that the rich for the most part are just like everyone else, except that they have large amounts of money.

Actually many of us live better than kings of the past. We actually have running water, tv's ,internet, cell phones and automobiles.. Large supermarkets to pick out what one wants to eat. Refrigerators, freezers , heating systems, air conditioning and many other comforts compared to years past.

Many get these things from the give away system in this country.
