Michigan allows ANY registered voter to vote in the GOP election. Joe DiSano urged Democrats to cast their vote for Santorum in order to prevent Romney from winning his home state. Romney would definitely give Obama the toughest fight for the White House, so it's actually a good strategy from a Democratic viewpoint.

It is, but I'm still going to vote for Romney. I don't want to take ANY chances Santorum getting to the White House. Stranger things have happened in our country's history. Besides, I couldn't tolerate having him on the news, using my faith as a political weapon for the next nine months. Shut that guy down.

That's true, it would be very unfortunate for someone like Santorum to be president.

I dont think the Democrats should risk it.

Be careful waht you wish for. Would you be able to live with yourself if you voted for Santorum in the primary and he ended up beating Obama

Better off sticking with Obama lite, Romney in the off chance the GOP wins. Romney is the least extremist.

Why would a state allow both parties to vote in the primaries?

Because some states don't have partisan voter registration.

Got that email. Found it interesting, but I agree with Mackinac. Santorum is too insane to take seriously, but stranger things have happened.

Obviously a liberal conspiracy. Aren't you part of the club that meets on Wednesdays in the old orphanage? We perform late-term abortions on a stack of bibles.

It's a smart move. Romney has like a 4 percent chance of beating Obama. Santorum and Newt have zero.
