It was performed by a "posse" of civilian volunteers.

No it wasn't. It was a show, nothing more. It was a volunteer posse (stacked with birthers) who came to the same birther conclusions that have been long debunked.

It was performed by the county and it is official. The investgators are retired law enforcement investigators, volunteers, which is perfectly legal for an official law enforcement investigation when under the authority of the county Sheriff.

No it was not. Sheriff Joe must have made that point a half dozen times during the presser. No taxpayer dollars were spent because it was not an investigation performed by the Sheriff's Department.

Hell... it would be "perfectly legal" even if it was performed under the authority of the local gardening club's ladies auxiliary.
Sheriff Joes investigation is official. Your theory is not. They have found the documents to be forged or fabricated. It has been certified that crimes have been committed. They even have a suspect in the manufacture of the forged document.
There is nothing official about his investigation. It was an activity conducted by US citizens as volunteers, there were not acting on the orders or at the request of any legitimate county, state, or federal agency nor endorsed by any such agency, and they have no legal authority.
Steve, this is what I don't get about you. You seem like an articulate, smart guy in your posts. I cant really believe you believe this stuff. Here are my three ideas regarding you:
1. You are not a birther at all. You are posting all this stuff just to make birthers look crazy, delusional, and racist. And having fun stirring everybody up on this subject. If so, good job, man!
2. You hate Obama so much, and you know there is ZERO truth to any of these claims yet you don't mind spreading lies about him if it helps to recruit others to your cause.
3. You do not really exist, SteveMGarrett is just a guerilla marketing construct for a pro-republican PAC somewhere pushing any and all anti-Obama sentiment and documenting the reaction you get from the wired electorate in order to predict how these ideas would play to a broader electorate.

Well then Old Joe needs to issue a warrant for the Hawaiian custodians of records (both Republican and Democrat) who issued the forgery, take them to a grand jury and get an indictment. Don't you think?
