I call it pretty factual. It's not unlady like to discuss reproduction in public.

I'm repeating myself, but if you actually look at her testimony, a chunk of it was on the inability of many women to get prescribed oral contraceptives for the treatment of medical conditions like polycystic ovarian disease--without treatment you develop cysts that can cause you to lose your ovaries. The pill is used to treat a multitude of medical issues with women including dangerously heavy periods, severe cramping, some forms of acne, menopausal symptoms, etc.

Even if you disagree on the stand that coverage should be provided in health care plans, what in the world makes you think that she should be called a "S*UT" for presenting an opinion different than yours. Again--it is outrageous.

One more heads up--97% of polite, rural midwestern women use birth control too.

You can talk about Rush all you want. But that isnt who started all this. Obama did. Pelosi did. And for their political purposes, this college woman did. Hats off to you Obama. You wanted to play political games and keep the focus off of what we all should be on, well you did exactly that. You Obama voters must be so proud of yourselves.
Hell, they are all ready to do it again this year and this may be the straw that broke the camel's back for a number of them.

It is estimated that 10 to 20 percent of women today have PCOS, and among young women, this figure could be even higher, thus qualifying PCOS as an epidemic. Doctors today have only 2 mainstream treatments for PCOS in their arsenal, and neither is particularly successful. One treatment uses drugs like birth control pills, hormone pills like androgens, androgens blockers, synthetic estrogens or pills that inhibit hormone production like Lupron. The other treatment is also drug-based, however this ones makes use of new drugs which are meant for Type II diabetes, which lowers insulin resistance.
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) - DrLam® - Body. Mind. Nutrition® According to this doctor BC isn't very successful at treating PCOS.

'Reproduction' is precisely NOT the issue here.

Actually I do. I was making a joke but the bigger joke is how this was presented to Congress and how it is being defended on C-D. I have made my side clear in other threads.

Catholics are against contraceptives because they prevent pregnancy. Rubbers are contraceptives yet are now okay in the prevention of spreading STDs. The first goal is getting the ok from the Church. The second is then getting them paid for by the Church for MEDICAL REASONS ONLY. You can't get the second with out getting the first.

It's never going to happen until the Birth Control piece is taken out of the equation. Other people are saying "what about Viagra" when they should be saying "what about condoms".
