Bills Republicans Have Blocked | Addicting Info
All tax and spend legislation to grow gov't. Where is the legislation to cut the spending, to cut regulations, to help small businesses? Sitting on Harry Reid's desk. When Obama doesn't get his way, he just issues an execitive order or seeks approval from the UN. Then he plans his next vaca or dinner for the elites.

Teacher, If you really want to help young people, teach them the history of central banking in this country. You will learn a lot yourself, and you will find the solutions to our significant problems. Set aside your social issues, like gays and birth control aside, our country is about to implode.
For this endeavor, you will need to look outside the books the system provides for you. Research on your own. Understanding the economy is key. That is why Ron Paul keeps harping on it, and has written easy to understand books on how we got here and how we can dig ourselves out. It is criminal what we are doing to future generations, heaping masses of debt on them, with no end in sight.

Quote:
As Lincoln himself stated:
The money powers prey on the nation in times of peace and conspire against it in times of adversity. The banking powers are more despotic than monarchy, more insolent than autocracy, more selfish than bureaucracy. They denounce as public enemies all who question their methods or throw light upon their crimes.

I have two great enemies, the Southern Army in front of me, and the bankers in the rear. Of the two, the one at my rear is my greatest foe. As a most undesirable consequence of the war, corporations have been enthroned, and an era of corruption in high places will follow. The money power will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until the wealth is aggregated in the hands of a few, and the Republic is destroyed.[25]

What a load of Rubbish.
The taxes need to be sorted out and made fairer. The Bush tax cuts have done absolutely nothing for employment and once expired then Obama can tax the wealthy just like middle America and stop loopholes for the Right's buddies. Obama is cutting spending but oh no the Republicans now decide that cutting back on the military is no good even though they had said the militiray must have spending cuts. The Republican's ideas for cutting back is on the seniors with medicare and of course social security and anything to do with poorer Americans while keeping the rich rich and the big companies mega rich and of course to get rid of the affordable health care bill.... it would affect millions of normal everyday American's who have now said that this change in health care is a good one and should be kept. Amazing how the party who want to get rid of the affordable health care bill are the ones who's chums have gold plated health care and aren't affected by it going.
The Republican party is a threat to America's recovery and thank god the majority of America know this and will never put them into the Whitehouse, no matter how many lies they preach to Americans.

Are you a student of this teacher? Nothing you think is true, is. You are going to lose all those entitlements anyway, we can't afford them. The poor will keep getting poorer, and rich richer on your labor. You want to save on the military, then bring the troops home and quit nation-building.

I don't see the issue in this.
WOW! You and I actually agree on something!

I think that both parties should agree on reasonable debates. This would give Americans the platform for a dicourse that would allow the republic to continue. At this point, we will implode and that is not what the founding fathers would have wished or forseen (except Washington who said that political politics would be our downfall). Can't we all get along?

I even have had kids in the past give me books like "Tears of a Clown" by Glenn Beck and "Godless: The Church of Liberalism" by Coulter to read. Many of them probably assumed that I was conservative because I did't hide the fact that I was a Christian. I never wanted to have any influence on them by stating my own peference.

I have now come out of the closet, and will admit I'm a Democrat, because of the Republican candidates (not including Ron Paul). I've done this because I don't want them to think that I would have anything to do with these..... well, I'll be nice and call them people. I will now let them know that I will vote Obama. I will let them know that I like Ron Paul and respect his views, and I could be happy with him as president (but he's a bit radical).

The right wing has just gotten insane and I won't allow any of my students to have the mistaken idea that I would support any of them.
Noted.

Default I am now out of the closet democrat

I am so, so sorry. just kidding.

Seriously though, I don't agree with you, about Obama or Ron Paul, but i commend you for remaining neutral all these years, if in fact that's true, but you should stay that way.

BTW, did you read the books, just wondering?

Yes, I read parts of "Tears of a Clown" (couldn't finish all of it) and I I didn't accept the other books (I told the kids I could get them from the library). I watch Fox "news" every day and many of the other programs (the Five,Huckabee, Hannity, etc,,,) I believe in the idea that you should keep your friends close, but your enemies closerer....

Well at least you tried to stomach it, that's doing more than most democrats would. I also believe in that idea which is why I watch MSNBC and Keith Olbermann (and for the laughs)

Again I don't agree with you politically, but I do respect your teaching POV.
