OK. Serves him right. If you are gay and you seek employment with the Catholic Church, you are assuming all risks.

The sooner modern society drops this superstitious nonsense the better.

It's as ridiculous as sacrificing goats on an altar so that a temper-tantruming god doesn't blow a volcano.

No exemptions for religion should be allowed. If something is legal in this country it's legal, period. Cathloic institutions (not church, the business end of things..$$$$$$$) hire non Catholics and service non Catholics all the fracking time. People are waking up to the stupidity of it all now that it's being forced into the news. Religion doesn't know it yet but they are sealing their own doom.
