I agree but not just women should be offended. ANY person who has a mother, a sister, a daughter, a grandmother, or have any beloved female... should be offended....Rush insulted ALL of them, Democrat, Independents, Republicans, ......he called even Repug's daughters the S word...he wants to see them on video having sex because he says he pays for it....
So are Repug women, like some of the posters who are defending him going to send those videos???

I think his drug-addled mind had that confused with the 16,000 commercials they play over the course of a year. That would break down to about 64 a day. Sounds about right.

Another that has NO IDEA what you are talking about when it comes to advertising on radio. Rush is heard on 600 LOCAL affiliates (radio stations), which choose their own LOCAL advertisers. Rush has nothing to do with it. If those OVER 600 LOCAL affiliates have 30 advertisers...do the math, over 18,000 that span the 600+ local affiliates. Also, these local advertisers ROUTINELY make choices about what programs they want to be heard on. This is all standard operating practices.
Then, there are the NATIONAL advertisers, like Carbonite, Pro Flowers.
Carbonite made the announcement on Sat, the stock took a dive on Mon AND Tues.
Must be all those Rush listeners cancelling their subscriptions.
Remember, the Carbonite CEO is a supporter/donor of obama's.

Advertisers always choose the radio stations they want, never vice versa. Local advertisers are the lifeblood of broadcasting. When they split in big numbers, a station can die very quickly.
When a station is abandoned by it's advertisers, a format change can be quick as a way of survival. Radio stations change formats on the turn of a dime these days. The Rush show on your local station could be a Mexican music show next week. And they listen to more radio than any group these days, while heavily support the advertisers. Two stations that were once news talk format dropped the format for Mexican Top 40 here in the last 2 years. White folks listen to many things, but with the Latinos, radio rules, especially in their commerce.
As soon as Limbaugh is perceived as a liability to a station's owner, he's off the air. Same goes with Clearchannel communications on a larger scale. They own a lot of stations. They'll buy Limbaugh's contract out long before he's allowed to do any serious damage. And then he goes off the air.
it is also untrue that advertisers always choose the programs they want their ads to be used. Most high frequency advertisers buy block times- drive time, noon, afternoon, evening, etc. with no regard to whose show is on. Early morning time blocks are traditionally the most expensive, and Rush isn't on most stations in the early morning.
There is nothing at all to inhibit any advertiser from saying 'any time but the Limbaugh show." Rush could remain on-air, but he's not going to pull the money he's making if his time slot is abandoned. If there is a net loss, he's gone.
And who the CEO of a corporation supports or not has nothing to do with it's stock price. if your premise was true, Apple computers would not be the most valuable stock on the market. Jobs was a personal Dem contributor.
Stocks dive and bounce regularly. If Carbonite stock is over-valued, it will dive. If it dives past it's value, it bounces right back. Big deal. Come back with that statement if Carbonite stays in the bucket for a year or more, and I'll take you seriously.
