And it's also irresponsible to say that because all women's contraceptives aren't paid for by the taxpayer - that women have things bad in America.

There are many conservatives in this country who believe that life begins at conception and thus are opposed to abortion at any stage, except for valid reasons, as well as abortifacient drugs. Almost none of them are opposed to contraception that prevents pregnancy. So, yes, it's a "pack of lies" that Republicans are anti-women. They just don't worship at the altar of abortion as many liberals do.

Google up "highest gas prices ever" and see when they occurred. "A war..." Try two wars not that long ago. And many of your peeps aren't at all happy that we are out of Iraq. Obamacare? What Obamacare? Where? You show me one active policy of Obamacare that is affecting thingsnow. Do you see now where you went wrong? So, who's insane?

1) I know but gas is higher than when he took office. Not his fault but most people don't understand that or care. It's what usually kills a POTUS.

2) We never should have been there in the first place.

3) You are right. But that was such a big talking point before in regards to repealing it. What happened?

Obamacare goes into full swing in 2014. I get that. Didn't matter 18 months ago and closer. Only thing it's effecting right now are companies preparing for it to kick in and spending money on outside resources either preparing for it or having their current policies revamped.

My point is that they cannot stick to one thing and they all sound like buffoons. The "anybody but Barack Obama" platform doesn't work if the anybodies are huge morons who are picking each other apart. It's pretty sad.

Politics is a team sport.

If the republicans had a team, they could play too. <snicker>

As a women the USA is the best place to live, I wouldn't live any where else. The war on women is some made up bullsh*t to stir the pot. There's no war on women, if this is all the left can do is make victims of people they're weak and pathetic.

To bad elections are about certain people and not all Americans.........

I have traveled all over the place, i do not see American Women having it bad, as some are claiming. There are women out there, in certain Countries, who truly have it bad, are not respected, they have no say so in opinion, marriage, or even a thought process, these women have it bad.
I have always had a job, made pretty darn good money as a women, am independent, but totally into my husband and our marriage. No one has taken that from me.
I have never felt defeated by being a Women, have had some jobs of power, and we now own our own business, which i am a part of.

If anyone truly feels that the USA is a horrible place to live, you really need to get out there, and visit certain Countries, that actually have it bad.
And as long as this world has creatures such as Humans running it, maybe that is why the world, is not a happy place.
So judgemental of some, but yet not to others, some get a freebie pass, while others do not, life is just not a bowl of cherries.
But living in the USA, is pretty good.

All I ask is - lets not lose proportions. Yes, 17th place is not the best, but there are about 200 countries that score poorer. And when a poster writes "US is a horrible place for..." it is irritating. As someone who lived abroad, I can tell you that "horrible" is inappropriate . Today women in the US have better lives than at any time in history.

Not only that but, 17th place is a lie. America ranks much higher than that concerning women's rights issues. Why didn't Leisesturm cite the study stating where America ranks? Because it isn't true.

What kind of factors were used in deciding America's standing in Leisesturm's study?

One factor I saw in a study was that some countries allow a longer maternity leave from a job on average than in America.

Factors like this don't mean that American women live a horrible life here.

Don't let the propaganda of the Left sink in. They are dead serious about getting Obama re-elected by any means. And if Progressives have to lie, and make women feel like victims to do it - that's what they'll do.
