It is ironic how the RWNJ are always claiming to to be for personal responsibility, but when they are wrong, they are quick to blame everyone but themselves. Rush and all those in this thread who continue to defend Rush by bringing up any liberal they can think of that has ever said anything rude are playing victim and refusing to admit when their precious pig of a leader is wrong. What Rush said was inappropriate, sexist, classless and spiteful, period. This has nothing to do with Bill Maher, Ed Shultz or David Letterman, who unlike Rush, actually apologized without taking cheap shots at others. His lame whacked "apology" was nothing but another liberal bashing fest. Being a jerk is nothing new to this man, the one that said Bill Clinton's daughter looked like a dog, made inappropriate comments about the POTUS' wife and daugher and refers to him as Barack the magic negro, yet you all are so willing to blindly defend him and attempt to justify his disgraceful behavior. His followers are even lower than he is. God gave you a brain, use it. Never mind "taking your country back" - try taking your brains back and thinking for yourselves rather than letting RWNJ media whores do it for you.

Maher is just a mean comedian that no one really pays attention too (especially with Colbert and Stewart around for left of center comedians).

Rush, well has always been mean, but is one of largest influences on the GOP. He also was a key note speaker at CPAC a couple years ago. Doubt you'll see Maher in that position...ever.

That is your difference. The Rush vs Maher is a really bad arguement people are making. To me it is like talking about the U.S. military versus the Liberia military. Not even worth discussing since Rush is so many order of magnitude more influential and important to politics then Maher is.
Yeah, what you said above. I think it's the real issue as far as the greater accountability that the conservatives and republican party have in terms of publicly rebuking him. They have been repeatedly on the record as owing their political strength to him and they have bent over backwards to be allies with him. That was true in 1994 when they retook the Congress, it was true during the Clinton impeachment, and it's been largely true during the Obama era. Democrats might agree with Maher and might find him funny but they're not going to make him the centerpiece of their campaign. That's the difference.

And again, just like Breitbart, Rush enjoys picking on people who can't fight back.

Nope it isn't. Now why are Rush and his herd not taking personal responsibility? Liberals, Maher, Shultz and Letterman didn't hold a gun to his head and make him puke out that BS he is spewing. He needs to take responsibility for what he said. He has not done so yet. He apologizes by claiming that he acted like a liberal? The liberals that keep getting brought into this discussion did not use cheap shots in their apologies and blame Conservatives for their behavior. He and he alone can be held accountable for what he said. This isn't the fault of anyone else - he said it. Can the party who prides themsleves on personal responsibility hold the person that is responsible for this accountable or are they only capable of blaming others, pointing fingers or ignoring it when the jerk is a Republican? Rush isn't a victim here.

Speaking of picking on babies, it was Rush who said Bill Clinton's daughter looked like a dog and took cheap shots at the POTUS' daughter. Do your rules only apply to liberals? Are conservatives above them?

I dont believe that anyone is saying Rush is not responsible for his actions. He has apologized something that many on the left has NOT done, yet that isnt good enough either. Its a bunch of hypocrisy at its finest. Rush is a big boy and I am not here to defend the man, I dont even listen to his show, but I will defend his right to free speech, just as the right as that right.

The question and point of this thread is why is those on the left not also responsible for those?

Why is the left only upset when a woman on the right is insulted? Also if she was so insulted by a man calling her a ****, why would she go on a show hosted by a man that has done the same thing that is suppose to have offended her.

Instead the left is making this fake " war on women" over something their side of the isle has done many many times.

When this is actually about the federal gov trying to force a religious group to offer something they do not agree with.

I Hope President Obama Will Denounce This Site and Pull All His Ads

Why does the President of the United States allow his ads to be run on a site that uses such heated and hate-filled rhetoric?
