besides the fact that it came directly from the selective service during the bush administration there is another hole in the CCP's theory that it's a 2008 stamp modified to read "80"........ a 2008 stamp would read "USPS" not "USPO".
So what is your explanation for Obama having a 2 digit pika date stamp when all other pika date stamps from that period have 4 digits?
wear and tear on a 10+ year old stamp. the USPO changed to the USPS in 1970 but many of the pica stamps remained in use well into the 80's. the USPS does not require that all 4 digits be used in the stamp, only the last 2.
