Not if it turns out that this wasn't self defense, if this man shot this man for no reason then he deserves prison or the death penalty (don't know if that's still legal in FL or not).
It's my Fox Orlando, it's not Fox News. They're independent affiliate TV stations, it's a completely different company from the much hated Fox News which causes liberals to lose their minds.
Webster's Dictionary:

Affiliated:
Closely associated with another typically in a dependent or subordinate position
Experience: One night I was walking from my aunt's house to my house. (ten houses down) It was dark and I was alone, age 17, in a , middle class (250+ - 3million homes), white community neighborhood. In less than a five house stretch someone reported me to a constanable as a "suspicious character looking in cars". I was stopped by police and questioned and so forth. Told him I was just walking from my aunt house and going back to my house. That i didn't have a desire too look into any car becuase my car was pretty well above average than anything on that stretch of road. I did give him attuitude becuase i felt some type of way about it though. I was mad that entire night. I eventually got over it.
A flip night. I seen a white person walking around the exact same time by himself. He was never reported and guess what he did. He got with friends and TPing houses and tress that entire night. They covered most of the neighrborhood (not in a sense of TPing all houses) .And + they broke into two cars. Why? becuase they were bored. They never was reported for suspicous activity that entire night. hummmmm?
im sorry race is a factor
Wow. In the time it would take you to walk just ten houses, someone called the police, the police responded to the call and go to you before you could finish that walk & get in the house, huh? That's what I call a speedy response!
Yes, there is a lot of racism in this thread....starting with all the people that have jumped to conclusions without facts and made statements about how the shooter hasn't been arrested yet.
Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. Regardless of the motivation, it may still wind up being a felony offense.
Personally, I like to get all the facts before reaching conclusions unlike so many others around here.
If your brother or son was shot in the street you wouldn't want the shooter arrested and detained? Let me guess, you'd wait until all the facts came in , weeks later.
Trayvon "Trey" Martin's body was found by police "behind a building" in the neighborhood - a house that he was not visiting (Martin was from Miami). That means Martin was in someone else's backyard, which was verified by a witness to the fight (saw the fight, saw the body). A stranger (regardless of color) in someone's backyard is suspicious. The neighborhood watch guy (Zimmerman) called the police.
IMO Zimmerman made a mistake by going into the backyard to confront Martin. His mistake is evident because he was involved in a fight with Martin (as witnessed). Zimmerman reportedly had a permit for his 9mm pistol and shot Martin in self-defense. Zimmerman was lucky to live through his mistake.
I'm not saying the guy should be convicted today, I'm saying he should be arrested. Sort it out in the courts
I don't have a problem with that whatsoever, if the police have enough evidence that they deem this questionable and not a clear case of self defense then they should certainly arrest him.
Nope, i'm calling that reality. The white guy had no reason to be suspicious. The kid went to a store and was coming back home. What was their to be suspicious about other than his skin color?
Where was the kid? Do we know? What was he doing exactly?
He very well could have been racist and the kid could have simply been joyfully skipping down the sidewalk singing nursery rhymes. If that's the case then it should be pretty open and shut and the killer should be dealt with.
May or may not have been, for you to automatically go there means YOU have a problem with race.
No, i simply acknowledge racism where I see it. Why was the white man suspicious to begin with? Based of the facts we have read, the kid went to the store and was coming back home. A white male saw a black kid and assumed the black kid had to be doing something suspicious.
