Where did you read or hear that account? It's not been in any of the reporting I've seen on the issue. I'd appreciate the source, so I can go see it myself.

He wasn't in "somebody's back yard." Ok?

As to why he was there, he was walking home.

I don't think the man set out to kill anyone. I don't even think he's a cold hearted killer. I think he's probably paranoid, saw someone he deemed suspicious, called the cops, went outside, confronted the kid, demanded to see identification, the kid probably refused, the guy tried to detain him, a fight erupted, the guy panicked and shot the kid. Not 1st degree, but definitely homicide in my opinion.

If the kids was just coming back and walking down the street then the guy should have never bothered with him.

If the kid was in someone's backyard (like at least one report mentioned) then there's no problem with someone confronting him. If the confrontation happened and the kid just said GTFO and tried to leave and the guy shot then the guy, once again, should go to jail or be killed. If the kid attacked the man and the man shot then let him go, self defense.

There are SO many variables here that no one here should make a firm decision, yet.

Stop it. There aren't that many variables. It is very simple. White male see black kid, assumes he shouldn't be in a gated community because of skin color, confronts him and than shoots him. As a black male, i've been a victim of this enough times to know how this went down. This was a racially motivated killing.

Only to gun happy gun nuts. After the 911 operator pleaded with him to stay in his house. He ignored the warning and went out and killed them anyway because he was so mad that they could get away with stealing some fricking furniture. Whatever, you have your opinion on that and I have mine.

This kid in Florida should not be dead unless, he was caught on or in someone's property attempting to steal and shot by the homeowner and not the neighborhood watch captain.

I don't recall Tiger Woods getting shot, he lives in a pretty nice gated community in Florida too.
They do live in gated communities, but this guy apparently doesn't think so, otherwise he wouldn't have been suspcious of this kid
