What can we do?

We can contribute time, food products and money to help end hunger. I do this through my church, and by other means. I cook food for soup lines and help pass food. Faith-based organizations are good outlets to participate with. One person can make a difference.

Poverty is a state of mind and condistion of the spirit for many humans.

We're now a bankrupt nation with a currency that's like playing musical chairs. It is not a question of IF the dollar dies, but when.....when the music stops. We can't fix the issue of others starving.

As a nation, we have tried, and failed.
the notion that america is the most giving nation when it comes to overseas aid is hugely inflated , besides , i dont see aid as a comprehensive solution , its a nasty trick which presents the west as noble and charitible and africa as needy and pathetic , create a level playing pitch regarding trade and goverment aid will not be nesscesery

I agree. That's why I never contribute to band-aid charities who do not address the base issues. Sending tons of wheat to Somalia over and over again makes no sense and just prolongs the problems.

Zambia shouldn't have a voice in Euro agricultural subsidies.
