The Op must be talking about Rush who said he hoped Obama fails. That does not mean he hoped America fails. On the contrary, Obama succeeding at turning America into a bankrupt, socialized, weak, nanny state where the constitution is abandoned and income is redistributed is a true failure for this country.

Why do Republicans always root against America? They have stated that their top priority was to make Obama a failure which meant America fails. They continue to hope that America fails and they have done everything possible to try to make failure assured. If Republicans wan to become a relevant party again, they need to stop hating America and wanting it to fail.

These are the right wing authoritarian personalities whose political knowledge ends with "who should I hate now?" During the cold war, it was the Russians, but they've faded from view. The GOP does not wish for America to fail, they hope for the defeat and failure of socialism. As the driving force and architect of the drive toward a Marxist society, Barack Obama must be defeated and his policies reversed is the viewpoint of the political right. The Republican goal is to restore the Republic, not to harm it.
"Wanting" it to fail and knowing that it WILL fail if we don't reverse 50 years of failed "progressive" policies is two different things.
When can we expect Liberals to advocate for a balanced budget, entitlement reforms, tax reforms, and smaller government?
