For people who have long suspected that there is some link between violent video games and real-world violence, the statement offered frightening new evidence for why the video-game industry should be more strictly regulated.
Many gamers and columnists, however, rolled their eyes and collectively muttered "here we go again."
I do not believe addicted gamers remain unaffected by their violent training games. First they become addicted to the adrenaline produced by the violence and that leads to the reduction of their opponents to things to be killed. The scoring system reinforces this addiction. The addiction to this natural stimulant is almost impossible to overcome and can effect a person’s judgment for years.
I am undecided about these games. I do not believe they should be sold or used by teens. Teenage kids, especially males, are already screwed up by hormones and training them to violence seems to me to be not the greatest idea ever.
I wonder if it will open debate on their immigration policy?
Even the Norwegians who reflexively hate immigration have the basic intelligence to not "open debate" when it would put them on the same side as a crazed mass-murderer.
