This is probably true off many militaries around the world since their youths have not really known any real wars since the 70's. Any military compared to the 70's is totally different from today. Problem is that the US hasn't learned that yet as it still uses ground offenses, while Israel has grown with its neighbors to be primarily air. We already know the Palestinian are not going to mount a ground offensive, even though there are thousand of photos of them marching with machine guns and assorted other weapons. If you don't know by now, the Iron Dome is a anti-rocket missle system. It does not shoot at cities. Israel is building these with the aid of the US to pay for the materials to build them. Israel and the US are hoping to end the rocket attacks on rural Israeli towns and the retaliation that goes with it. They are hoping that the Gazans will back to their land for peace promise when all Jews were removed from Gaza. We dont need Israel or Arab versions to know that the Gazans didn't follow through with their part in 2005 by shooting rockets out of Gaza within hours of nightfall. And we all know the Israeli have the military power to expedite their travels to the next world and yet haven't killed 1000's or even 100's in any current retaliatory strike in Gaza.
Huh. If anything the US military relies too much on air power. For decades a lot of military theorists were claiming that ground forces were entirely obsolete and wars could been won entirely by air power and from missiles launched from naval ships. Then Iraq and Afghanistan came around and it served as reminder that while air power is extremely deadly and very useful, there are things that air power cannot do and if you want to truly control territory, you need boots on the ground.

Who are you kidding?? The adults send their children to throw rocks at people and soldiers, while they stand on the side video taping it. The adults do not confront the Israelis, they shoot rockets and run away. They try daily to get Israel to do a full force attack. Don't think for one moment that Hamas cares for its citizens, they want 1000's to die needlessly. Just wait until they decide to fire North and hit a city near Tel Aviv. Do you own a map? They are shooting a majority of their long range rockets East. And what is East? Rural farmers and no substantial military bases.

Comment really uncalled for. They have the brain power to use, but due to their leadership it gets guided in the wrong direction. Millions are getting blamed for what is done by a few hundred. And those few hundred cause the deaths of many others, but not their own.Thus those are whom the Israelis go after.
As to prayer, most religions pray multiple times a day. Its mostly only the Christians who limit it to one time a week on Sunday morning.
Israel has a U.S. made and supplied "Iron Dome" air-defense system for protection against Palestinian rockets. Shouldn't the Palestinians have a similar system supplied by the U.S. for their protection?

No, they should not have a dome or even a beanie-cap provided by our country. They should stop being occupiers and this seething hate for the Jews. They should be willing to accept what the Jews have graciously offered them, and that is Peaceful, Co-Existence instead of salivating to push them into the sea.

Duh. That doesn't count. Nor does the other changes in borders that have taken place around the world within our lifetime (some of which are larger than Israel and Palestine combined). Nor does the fact that the majority of Arab nations expelled their entire Jewish populations in an attempt to get back at Israel. Nope. None of that matters. Israel is the most warlike and genocidal nation on earth that somehow manages to kill less civilians despite fighting its sworn enemy in mostly densely populated areas than virtually any other nation in the midst of a war or insurgency. It's almost like the Israeli military try to avoid killing civilians where possible and wage their military operations in a way that could not be described as "Scorched Earth"...
Those damn Jews sure are tricky.
