The stocks that make up the current DOW are not the same ones from when President Bush was in office. Apples and Oranges.

Nice try, the Dow's composition is always changing. The value of a new entry is calibrated to keep the relative value of the Dow the same thru any change.

Guys, just stop bothering. It doesn't matter what happens. There's always going to be an excuse. Just endless "WELL THIS HAPPENED DURING A LEAP YEAR ON A TUESDAY WITH AN ODD NUMBERED YEAR AND THE NUMBER OF GERMAN SHEPARDS IS IN THE HIGH 10000s AND ITS CLOUDY OUTSIDE SO ANYTHING GOOD REALLY ISNT".

I will eventually sell my house in NJ and it is holding value there.Good location. I live in the Florida house for 6 months and maybe buy another home in another northern state for summers. Real Estate is a good investment if one knows what is a good buy they will do well now. I am also looking at land , plus an empty lot located behind the home I bought to expand the property. The value of land dropped like a rock.

It is still a good time to buy Real Estate in Florida. Many homes that need tlc are being bought at super low prices by realtors and flipped for profit. Kind of shady because some don't even get on the market for the public to buy.

It is funny watching liberals protest against the 1% and then rally behind them when it suits their agenda. This recession has been very good for the 1%, as evidence of the stock market.

If you are talking about your investment portfolio then you must have made some really poor decisions, a 5th grader could have made good money investing from March 2009 - March 2012.

Did you have your retirement split 50/50 between Madoff and IMF Global?

Stock market has been very good to me too, and I'm not the 1%. Just some mutual funds for retirement, like millions of others in the 99%.

The CEO's have earned their money the last three years. Managing to produce great results despite the shenanigans of Obama.

So have thousands of real estate flippers from coast to coast; repeat after me---when the government initiates extremely stupid fiscal policies, lots of people are going to make tons of $$$$$$.

Start with the soaring numbers of deep-pocketed Canadians who've been buying real estate in & around Phoenix recently, and go from there.

Seriously the Dow is up because of money printing. Take a look at the value of the Dow vs gold to see its true value.

I do not claim ownership of the above image.
You might try explaining your chart and its significance...

Sorry you did so poorly the last three years, I think I have your money in my fidelity account. I knew it came from somewhere.
