Well, to be fair, the primary reason he was killed was because of his race. Change Trayvon's race to white or Asian and no "suspicious person" 911 call would have been made, no "these ********, they always get away" comment would have been made, no confrontation would have occurred, and no shooting would have happened. Once again you don't get it! Maybe the block captain had no right to approach, but it seems many young black kid's seem to have a chip on there shoulder when asked a question, why is this? Maybe the kid got defensive when asked why he was where he shouldn't have been and if so, it may have escalated the situation. Survival 101, shut up and be polite.
Are you kidding me? He had every right to be in that gated community and didn't owe anyone an explanation about anything. He didn't know Zimmerman from a hole in the wall and and no real reason to even speak to him. If he got defensive, I can understand why. If I lived in a gated community or my parents did and I'm walking back to their house after dark, I'm not stopping to speak to some random person other than a police officer.
Why is everyone saying Zimmerman is white? I took a look at a mugshot of his from a few years back and he's clearly Hispanic; definitely not a white guy. Don't let his last name fool you.

I think you may be right, but to what degree he will be charged, may depend on who initiated the altercation. Did the black kid get smart and take a swing at him or did the block captain grab him first. Unless there were witnesses, we will never know the truth.
It's pretty easy to figure out what happened through inference, and even if Trayvon took a swing at him, that doesn't justify using deadly force. The simple fact that Trayvon was found unarmed, weighs 100 pounds less than Zimmerman, and is approx. 10 yrs younger than Zimmerman proves that the shooting was unjustified as using a gun as a result of being pushed or punched is not proportional. We don't need to know specifically what went down.
