You know what...

We're not fighting a nation, we're fighting a religious and ideological cult.

They drew that line in the sand when they blew up the first US embassy in the late 1970's.

Face the facts.

The Homeland...

Sounds like a movie or video game title.

You see, you can't call it the United States because then it switches up the rules of engagement.

It's always nation vs. nation.

You can't have The United States of America against "Al Quaida" or "Muslim Extremists". Because we're a nation fighting an ideology.

No, it has to be "The Homeland" against the "Muslim Extremists/Al Quaida". That's dem-spin.

Anyone else notice a decline in our popularity around the globe? Bush started it and Obama is certainly throwing the last shovel of dirt on the US.

Have we had any HVE incidents at military installations ?
I mean by extremist groups, not Hasan who was a terrorist on the inside for all that is worth.

Our popularity declined when Russia became independent, and China became our debtor and competitor.

I don't like it either.

It started with Bush II, I guess, with his creation of the 'Department of Homeland Security'.

A Guerra do Vietnã - Next Stop Vietnam / Próxima Parada Vietnã - YouTube
LOL, that was the best song of the war.

I can't even think too much about Afghanistan...reminds me too much of Vietnam. Probably the younger generation doesn't understand this...they didn't go through it. Thank god we are finally out of Iraq...I think I've been depressed ever since these wars started...KNEW nothing good would come of either.

Nothing more depressing than sending our military to a sure defeat..buy, hey, you know? Someone is making big bucks and the generals get to play war.
