You need one to drive, so why not the internet? Where in the Constitution and Bill of Rights does it say you must have the right to access the internet? Maybe we should require needing a license in order to access the internet, that way people get trained on how to use the internet properly and will help cut down on the number of people propagating worms, trojans, and viruses as well as cut down on the billions of dollars in damage they cause to the economy every year in identity theft. How frustrating is it to go to work and you can't get anything does because some moron in your office infected your entire network with a worm because they were surfing some rogue Chinese website for pirated movies?
Well, if the average idiot can get a driver's license, not sure an internet license is going to make a difference.

Just teach a free class to your co-workers...
I bet you can even figure out which group needs your help.
We're already fighting to keep the internet free, no need for a poll tax.
I agree. A license to wear shoes is also in order. Shoes give people the ability to quickly walk wherever they want without regard to gravel, thorns or other obstacles and this lets people access places they shouldn't get into like expensive shops and White neighborhoods.
I think you ought to have a license before releasing a search engine. The masterminds who developed Bing, for example, need to be put away someplace where they can"t hurt anybody.

No.
I'll give you an example. Having a drivers License doesn't guarantee you will be a good driver.

Oy, what a dumb idea. How can some people take freedom of speech so lightly? My guess is this poster isn't too thrilled with voter id's, but is just fine with creating hurdles to free speech. What a strange position.
