It doesn't take a genius to see Christians, in today's modern times, are in general more peace loving people than Muslims who get a hard on for all things fire, explosions, rape, murder, torture, suicide bombers, & decapitations.
it wasnt some religious rightwing nutbags that rammed 2 jets into the twin towers on 9/11 either.
But it was Christians that spent the the better part of a thousand years "crusading" to destroy Muslims. You seriously think they cannot read history books?
Yeledaf - the "interpreted to mean" phrase was the reporter's words. Mohammed said: "“There are not to be two religions in the Peninsula". The collected sayings of Mohammed form the "science of the hadith", which is used as a basis for Islamic law.
You can't make this stuff up - the Grand Mufti is the "Chairman of the Standing Committee for Scientific Research and Issuing of Fatwas".

In God We Trust is the official motto of the United States, not in Allah we trust.
America was founded on freedom of religion true, but we're also more of a Christian nation by far than anything else.

you also have to remember that the moors along with islamic jihad have been trying to do the same thing to christians.
Maybe that is because it could be like creating a monument to a victory for many Muslims.
I want to hear a bunch of them around the world be vocal agaisnt radical Islam and instead they are enablers of it mostly IMO.
It is not tactful for them to be there IMO, but so far I do not believe they were banned. I know they have no money to build it and want the USA to pay for it. That is also BS IMO.
Maybe restricting birth control is like a victory of Christian men over women.

I understand. Kep in mind, though, that Islam is not monlithic, either in its theological schools (e.g., Shia vs Sunni), or, maybe more importantly, the literalnesswith which its adherents take the kind of interpretations to which the reporter was referring.
I remain convinced, however, that the kind of assumption made by the reporter, and by most "progressive" thinkers, fosters Islamic extremists by giving them the benefit of the doubt when it comes to representation of orthodox Islam and the commission of extremist acts of violence.
