Rush could have made his point without using the words he did.
However, this wealthy lawyer to be, women's activist was connected politically and a political decision was made to have her appear in front of a government committee, broadcast by mainstream media, she is not 'one of us'. She is a well connected foil used for political advantage and fair game. She is not some poor unfortunate who might plead her case before a legislative committee.
Let's not be distracted by the imaginary difference between SP and SF to justify degrading one woman. No public figure should ever be treated as Mahr treated SP and still keep his job.
You are actually arguing that Mahr's comments were fine because his victim was a public figure!!!!!???????? Who wants to part of your world?
And yes, Mahr made SP a victim. In any other venue he would be fired and prosecuted.
Tell Michael Richards he gets a pass because he's a comedian.

Honestly I don't think that referring to women as a bimbo, sl** or c*** sends the right message, no matter who says it.
I do fear that because Rush Limbaugh is more influential, his words travel further.
