The only thing Rush was making was an ass out of himself. Don't know how many of you saw the middle of his spiel. But take a second look. At 0:45, his statements start getting particularly "logical".

She may not have done "stump speeches", but she is a "women's reproductive rights" activist. She is not exactly a "private citizen". She has thrust herself into the public spotlight even if she isn't a politician (but she is a 'politician' of sorts).

They tried to make it look as though she was simply a "law student".

But we have an Internet now. Too bad for Fluke.

Axelrod is either stupid or disingenuous. And I don't think you get to be a senior advisor to the President by being stupid.

I do not consider myself "pathetic" (thank you very much), and I do have a life. I have a wife, children, and grand children. I have served my country in the military (Obama has not), and am a Vietnam vet.

I have been self employed for a good portion of my life. How pathetic is that, in your view?

Scary? Because we love our country, America, and we wish it to remain free, and not fall to socialism, which is where the Democrats (Progressives) are taking us? Why does that scare you? Do you not also love freedom? Would you rather be enslaved by your government, dependent on government for a handout, for your very survival?

We see Obama and the leftists destroying our country and robbing us of our liberty. My fellow veterans have served to preserve freedom, not only for our children and grand children, but for you, and all Americans. Many have given their lives for your freedom.

Rush stands as a beacon of truth, and an advocate for the freedom and the liberty that we so love. Though he often pokes fun at the left (as in this case) he also exposes the hypocrisy, the fraud, and the fatuity of Democrats, and of the current administration.

That is what a "free press" is supposed to do. It is not to be a "rubber stamp" for the ideology of the Democrat Party (which has become the "Democrat Socialist Party").
But he is not a beacon of truth yet his listeners think it's gospel. He twists the truth and leaves out certain parts. Poking fun is one thing but he goes too far and promotes hatred. And this country does not need someone pitting one party against another. But that's exactly what he does. We need to find common ground. No one is the bad guy here like Rush likes to preach. We just have different beliefs and there is nothing wrong with that.
And what does serving in the war have to do with Rush.

nononsense guy, Rush is a shock jock. Those values have been articulated by many a journalist, in polite ways, that involved civil discourse. They still are articulated that way today. But Rush's mannerisms are exactly that of a shock jock. His show is a way to silence dissent, instead of debating the points in a civil manner.

An example of one who articulates conservative values well, politely, and advances the practice of civil discourse is Bill O'reilly.

At least maher didnt pick on anyone smaller than him, look at limbaugh the fat boy school playground bully who has 5h!t for brains.

I'm sure if there were even any half truths of him (Obama) wearing womens pink under wear, the wing nuts would cream it for all its worth.
palin kids are they not smaller then maher. with your thinking i am small and Michellel Obama is a huge personality since there is a big gap between her and I, I can call Michelle Obama a slot! and it would be ok with you, because of our differences! sounds goood to me!

Just saying but how is calling a woman a c**t or a s**t sexist? I hear women call men d**ks all the time. I don't get why there is controversy over what either guy said.

While I wouldn't call either statement "sexist", they do suggest a hint of sexism in the people uttering them. More importantly, they're just personal attacks of no further value. That's the controversay. Is it right to publicly attack (slander?) another just because they disagree with something you've said?

I don't think name calling can rise to the standards of 'slander' this would pretty much gut the 1st amendment. And if people don't like it they don't have to watch either maher or rush. I don't watch either.

I don't get all this fuss and discussion about so and so called someone a bad name. I'm sure everyone here has seen girls get called c*nts and sl*ts to their faces before a million times already in the real world. I guess if you wanna get outraged over something, get outraged there first.
