This should be like Yahoo answers. Once the question is definitively answered the thread dies.
Die thread die. Die, Die, Die.
Why are you so concerned about this thread dying? I think it's a legitimate question that has been asked. True, a moot point, because I think Obama is a citizen, but the "what if" question is legit.
I see yet another "Obama is not an American!" thread that has produced the usual diatribes.
What I'm wondering is this: What would happen if - TODAY - they came out with conclusive evidence that Barack Obama was NOT a natural born citizen?
Does that suddenly mean he has never been President? Do they strip him of the title and give it to (god forbid!) Joe Biden? Does John McCain become President?
No, they must be natural born. I also support a constitutional amendment requiring all presidential nominees to pass a test showing their knowledge of the constitution and history of the US and pass it with no less than 93%
I believe there was a republican that was born in Puerto Rico.....
As long as they're a citizen that's all that matters. Anything is else is xenophobics, nationalists, and racists upset that non-white, non-christian people are in positions of power.
Wow, it only took 2 posts in for someone to start beating that tired drum.
Whatever makes you feel better, dude.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing, but why do you believe that?
I don't think native birth means anything. A person born here but raised in China would likely be less American in values than a person born in China who is raised here. Also we have plenty of anchor babies who are born here to illegal parents and people who are tremendous Americans born abroad.
I don't think a President should have dual citizenship, or otherwise divided loyalties though.
How about since you have to be 35 years old to be president - you have to be a citizen (not dual) for 35 years?
Sure, as long as you were born an American.
