I think Clooney's protest is meant to take it to the world. The UN is overwhelmed by human rights violations all around the world. Clooney isn't just an American star, he's an international star. His arrest draws attention from all around the world to his cause, and that greater attention may actually spark attention from the UN.

I was wondering the same thing.

So he did.

He gave him a lobotomy.

A tragedy.

But per the article, it seems many celebrities aren't just paying lip service to various causes. They are getting their hands dirty, they are working towards change, they are putting their money into these causes. We can always point to tragedies, and bemoan that nothing prevented the tragedy from happening. But I feel that tragedies are challenges to all of us to make a better future. Clooney is working to help the Sudanese people. Maybe you think there are others that need help more than the Sudanese. I haven't contributed to Clooney's foundation, and I do contribute regularly to causes I care about you, so I must think that. But even so, I applaud Clooney because he obviously cares, he's taking action, and there is a need for help in Sudan.

You`ve talked to Clooney and this is what he told you? Only an uncomplicated thinker would think that an invasion is the answer.

There are lots of problems in the US that we should be addressing.
Let's see, homelessness, violence, the eternal war, etc.

Getting arrested for protesting a government which slaughters its people is a bad thing?

Go George.

Glad to see you and Nick are willing to do the dirty work as needed for something you care about.
