Highly trained professionals looking at your naked images through those body scanners

[LEFT]BALTIMORE - A former TSA agent from Baltimore County has been indicted on federal child porn charges. Michael Scott Wilson, of Perry Hall, was previously charged in Baltimore County on charges of possession and distribution of child pornography and was scheduled for trial in April. But court record show those charges were dropped last week.

Wilson's attorney, Robert Bonsib, says similar charges have been filed against his client in federal court. A records search shows that in February, the 41-year-old man was indicted on two counts of possession of child pornography in U.S. District Court.

According to court documents, Wilson was allegedly found in possession of a video, "depicting a prepubescent female engaged in masturbation and anal sex with an adult male". Those same documents show Wilson was also in possession of an image of a naked teenage girl.

At the time of his arrest in Baltimore County last fall, Wilson was employed as a TSA agent at BWI Thurgood Marshall International Airport. His attorney says Wilson is not back with the agency.

As conditions for his release, court documents show Wilson cannot have any unsupervised contact with minors or use a computer system or internet capable device without prior written approval from the U.S. Probation or Pretrial Services Officer.

Put the guy away forever, in the general population. Let the other inmates have him.

The story is not the pedophile - the story is an agency whose power has expanded astronomically over the last ten years that still doesn't properly screen it's hires.

A pedophile is a blackmail target. Assume a terrorist discovered that a TSA agent is a pedophile and blackmails him into letting a guy slip through security. BWI is basically Washington DC. He boards a plane full of fuel, hijacks it and crashes it into the White House five minutes away. That is the story.

There are too many stories of TSA agents busted for crimes for such an important agency - at least the way they tell it.

How can the TSA screen a job seeker for pedophilia?

Applying for a job doesn't include opening up anyone's computer for a file search. Wilson 'Was found in possesion'- that means he got caught watching porn at work. If he hadn't gotten stupid, he would have never been caught.

The TSA can do a background check and find a lot of other stuff, but pedophilia is always a crime that's discovered by some deed, some other person, or through some cyber alert.

I agree that there are far too many TSA workers with records, and they should not be employed. I can find fault with the TSA for those people, but not for failing to discover a pedophile- those guys are simply very hard to uncover if they are careful.

The joke of course is "highly trained professionals". And there are sexual perverts wherever you go...you probably talk to them all the time without even knowing. Sad.
