So.... Why is it really that this story is being scrubbed? Is she not really in Mexico right now? Regardless what you think, it is the peoples business what goes on with their Commander in Chief.
WHERE they went is NOT considered "unsafe". MILLIONS of Americans go to Mexico every year and are just fine - even WITHOUT Secret Service Protection.

Over 150,000 go there just during spring break period.

I've been to Mexico at least 5 or 6 times, and have NEVER felt my life was in danger... all but two of those visits were to coastal resort towns (the other two being Tijuana), and I'm assuming that's where the President's daughter would be headed. Do you really think she'd be sent into the middle of gang territory, or what??

You guys are either total wimps, you've never been to Mexico, and/or you're just looking for something to complain about now.

Not setting a good example for others, of course not, but let's talk about the

COST of this trip....they took a group of her friends and *25* Secret Service Agents!! Wonder what the total cost of THAT is.

Who cares. And while the average citizen might not need that much protection in Mexico, the president's daughter is not an average citizen. If one of the cartels wanted to kidnap her to prove a point for whatever reason, they certainly have the manpower and firepower to do it. I'm sure Calderon has the same protection for his own family.
