As a frequent flyer I saw stuff over the past ten years most people wouldn't believe. We need security - nobody disputes that. I don't think the current system is accomplishing anything more than we had before 9/11.

Really, there has been so much hysteria and money spent to protect planes already. We really should save our money and figure out how to plug into the grapevine that warned people to stay off of airplanes and away from the twin towers in the days before 9-11. You can still use the metal detectors used in the past, and still used when people enter buildings such as the criminal courts. Just install multiple cameras in the cabin, and arm the cockpit with a variety of weaponry.

EASY! You just become the CEO of one of these private prisons and then bid to do the security work at the airport. Your bottom line is making money. Not making the public happy.
