One of the best things too is that the Passat was named car of the year and this VW plant in non-Union!

Volt is a car that never should have been build at this time. When you plug this in you are in fact using energy from mostly oil and gas to get the electricity for this great 40 mile range.

In addition, the car is so pathetic various states and local governments are trying to protect Obama who pushed this by making various entities buy this crap for their fleets in government (which makes it look like it was being more successful than it really is).

It's a piece of junk.
Also in hot places these batteries die quicker which is an issue when it is $6000 at least to replace them.

Volt is an awful car, and the greenies are not too bright. That electricity it uses-well 50% of the electricity is produced via COAL..not terribly green stuff. LOL!

Amen sanrene. It also explains well why the 3 transplants scouting locations for new plants they expect to build in the USA are only scouting RTW states. That is where they have always been, and they have thrived long-term relative to other US facilities. No government bailout required.

The Volt is such an overprices piece of ****...

More diesel engines...diesel can be made from natural gas...which we have a lot of natural gas...
