Let's not form a lynch mob just yet. It's entirely possible the guys motives were pure and none of us have enough information to label him a pervert. It's easy to assume that, but it doesn't make it so.
And, don't be so quick to discount the idea that God told him to. For a believer in tune with the Holy Spirit, that does happen, believe it or not.
The point is that we just don't know, so let's not jump to conclusions.

The thing is, since Adam Walsh, we have taught our kids to be hyper vigilant. And even then, some people find a way through their defenses.
Considering things as they are, wouldn't you think that this guy would have known better?
The girls did absolutely the right thing in getting his license plate number. If this guy proved to be a pedophile, and kidnapped some other kid, we'd all be calling the two girls heroes.

Yes, he probably should have known better, but how many times do we all do things we know could get us into trouble because we feel led to do it?
And, yes, the girls were right to get his tag number and report him.
And, yes, the police were correct in their handling of the situation, I think.
But, none of that makes him a pervert. It just might make him a good man in the wrong place at the right time.
Soooo, we have a link to a website that intentionally witheld key information in order to portray this as some sort of abusive police state type thing.
We must have a couple of these every week, ususally by the same Alex Jones fans.

In tune believers always turn out to suffer from paranoid personality disorder andschizophrenia.
You have no idea if he lied or not. How do you know the girls didn't lie to the police? So, the police say it wasn't snowing... BFD! The girls told the police that they were wearing coats, how do you know that is NOT a lie? You don't!
Because they checked local security cameras that showed what the girls were wearing, and also checked the weather conditions with videos from local police car stops in the time frame . They also did not charge him until talking with him and determining his story didn't add up. So yes i do know he ws lying, which is something you might know as well had you of read some of the links .
I mean really i don't want to jump to any conclusions because its also possible after 3 days he got his story mixed up. Still the fact he basically chased them down and the questions he asked would alarm a lot of girls and boys. I also know when i was in high school there was a guy who would pick the older elementary school girls, and younger middle school girls up and try to pressure them to "pay for his services". And if they didn't he would let them off in the middle of nowhere.
Wow, that's really creepy!

Oh, don't beat yourself up like that! I would check out anything you read in the Blaze, though, before thinking it's the whole story.
Many times people post links to short stories (not all from the Blaze, either) and you can read them and think, "this just does NOT add up", or "maybe there is something more going on".

He also pled guilty, which says something in itself.
Yes, and luckily one time a girl grabbed the keys, pulled them out of the ignition so he couldn't drive off, and ran to the nearest house . It did not end up well for him when the police showed up to his place of business the next day.
The charges are totally insane, and will likely be thrown out on appeal.
