C-D is full of faux-patriot Junior McVeigh's lately... delusional internet bullies at best, genuinely treasonous dangers at worst.

Scary stuff.

I did not like the G.W. Bush years. Not my guy, didn't do stuff I particularly liked, but at the end of the day, he was the POTUS and that was that. There was whackadoodle Lefties then who I thought went way too far with their rhetoric. Little did I know the whackadoodle Righties would take it to a whole 'nother level with President Obama.

Crazy times.

He served four years under a president that flagrantly violated international law and almost surely violated the U.S. constitution as well. In fact, virtually all of Obama's defense policies are devoted to the problem of dealing with the situation he inherited. The soldier in question only now speaks out on the Internet about how he perceives the military to be led by policies that are constitutionally invalid. Never mind the fact that this idiot probably has no better than a high school education and, thus, has never even studied constitutional law, thereby making him highly unqualified to comment with authority on the subject; the fact is that this guy is clearly using his position of influence in the military, as both a soldier and also as someone who leads other men, to publicly question whether or not he and others like him will or will not follow the military code and the military chain of command. Moreover, this guy only now speaks up after years of following (probably in lockstep) the policies of Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld -- the people who started these wars in the first place. In short, this guy is a rabble rouser and full of horse sh*t. I don't give a flying f*ck what "sacrifices" he thinks he has made in my name. I do not want to pay taxes to a military whose participation and commitment hinges upon political ideology. For the entire time of the military's existence, it has been successful at doing its job and leaving the politics to the civilians. Get this f*cker out of the military - and fast. And get anyone else out who thinks just like him, and if that somehow affects our ability to recruit retarded redneck high school dropouts who want to try their hand at lecturing us in constitutional law then so be it -- the United States military is much, much better off without these types. He should also pay back whatever "socialist" benefits he reaped at our expense, too. Fecking idiot (not you, him).

You should have joined the Coast Guard and then you could honestly say you defended our soil.
I am proud of my service to this Nation, nothing You can say will ever change that.
I am sure that is what you Paul supporters would like, bring all the troops home, layoff most of them and hope no one ever attacks us again. No thanks, when others threaten us or world peace we as a Nation should stand up and do the righ thig, heck if Paul were President (never happen) OBL would still be alive an well and the terrorists would still be using Afganistan to plan and carry out more attacks around the globe. Be glad the American People do not buy what Paul is selling, it would endanger this Nation and its People.

Just goes to show you how politics have permeated places that they have no business being.

No need to go into a long spiel about this: they'll do EXACTLY as they're told. If not, they'll be court martialed and sent to prison. And if the commissioned officers can't get the Non-Coms in line, they ought to be forced to resign. This is complete bullsh*t, and shouldn't be going on.

I didn't agree with Reagan, and never voted for him. I still served under him and did what the hell i was told. That was my job and what i took an oath to do regardless.

Regardless of your oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States?

Reagan was pitiful in following the laws of engagement, it would have been nice if someone would have pushed back against him as well.

We are a country that is FUBAR. And it's not going to get better, til it gets a whole lot worse.

Your oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States means you will faithfully execute your duties as an officer that is regulated by Constitutional law. It does not mean that each soldier is constitutionally authorized to determine for themselves what is and is not constitutionally valid, and which laws they will or will not follow. They can break the law and the chain of command if they feel that strongly that what they're doing is wrong, but they'll have to accept the consequences. And it looks like this 'tard is already having a hard time doing that, so I guess he shoulda shut his freakin mouth.

And it sure as hell won't get better if you have an entire military without operational command and control up and down the chain of command.

First off, Sgt. Stein is Marine Corp, not Army, although most surely there are Army and Air Force sergeants, as well as Navy and Coast Guard petty officers that share his sentiments. While we may not know what Sgt. Stein's formal education is, the insinuation that a person with "no better" than a high school education is somehow unqualified is outrageous and insulting. Drifting off topic a bit, but a man that joins the service right out of high school, or, for that matter, joins the work force, with 11 years experience, very often has a hell of a lot more skills and just plain more street smarts than some dolt with a liberal arts degree from some second rate college, both the same age. Formal education often has little or nothing to do with a person's intelligence, knowledge, or skills.
