See I would do the exact opposite if I were the devil. I would take from those who have little and give to those who have more. I would do this until a few lived like kings while millions struggled to survive. Then I would plunge the country into a long civil war between the wealthy few and a communist party in fertile ground.
It is quite telling, as roy pointed out, that Mr. Harvey didn't mention any political lean at all yet the left had to jump in and play defense. I wonder why that is???

End up in the same place either way. How about just letting people work hard and reap what they sow; enjoying what they work for and giving freely to those who truly need it.

That would be because they can see where all Harvey's talk was aimed and they don't like being seen to be so easy to take in.
If I were the devil, all my tactics would be Democratic policies. I would buy votes with pandering promises, telling Americans that their survival depends on my programs and the money that I dole out. I would especially let minorities and immigrants know that they just can't make it in America without me----funneling money to them and giving special privileges based on skin color. I would suck their souls dry, while promising hope and change, and softly I would sing them to sleep with an amnesiac's lullaby that make them forget all about their parents' encouragement to do right and work hard.
I was listening to Paul Harvey and disagreed with him then and my opinion has not changed. He was always a proto Limbaugh with his own agenda. He made a lot of money off his blather. He never made sense.
FWIW - I met the Devil once and he looked a lot like me. I was in a war at the time.
