I got this off the internet...posted by a soldier..
"I couldn't help noticing an irony. There is all this clamor to try this guy quickly and execute him, never mind his having suffered a traumatic brain injury.
Yet this Major Hasan, who shot up Fort Hood while screaming Allah akbar, still hasn't stood trial, and they are still debating whether he was insane, even with the clear evidence regarding his motive: slay as many infidels as possible.
So we have a guy in a war zone who cracks, and he must be executed immediately. But this Muslim psychiatrist who was stateside in a nice safe office all day murders 13, wounds 29 of our own guys, and they try to argue the poor lad suffered post-traumatic stress syndrome, from listening to real soldiers who had actual battle experience.
Two and a half years later, they still haven't tried the murderous bastard."
I am not condoning what the guy who murdered the Afghanis....but there is something seriously WRONG with our system and the way we justify. We seem to play to the WORLD court with no regard for OUR OWN people..or the families of those who suffer. But I'll be damned if we don't bow to the muslims.
He may well be guilty but why does everyone assume it "before" he goes to trial.. Why is there such a rush to convict this man while Hasan gets every conceivable consideration prior to his... I agree, we need to start giving at the minimum the same consideration as we do people like Hasan. This man was convicted in the press the day this incident occurred and what's worse is our own POTUS seems to have convicted this soldier before his court martial as well..

People read or listen to stories about the incident and form opinions, what is so hard to understand about that. Opinions don't result in convictions, imprisonment or executions.

What legal procedures are being denied to Sgt. Bales that are being granted Maj. Hasan? Hasan's has been charged with 13 counts of murder and 32 counts of attempted murder and faces the death penalty. I'm not seeing your point.

"No faith justifies these murderous and craven acts; no just and loving God looks upon them with favor," Obama told the crowd on a steamy Texas afternoon. "And for what he has done, we know that the killer will be met with justice -- in this world and the next."
Barak Obama Ft. Hood, Texas Nov. 10, 2009
I'm still looking for the disparity of treatment so I suspect like a lot of thing these days this thread is more fiction than reality.
PS - The Ft. Hood shooting was one of the precipitating reasons for killing Anwar al-Awlaki, a U.S. citizen.

Don't you understand, he's a white Christian, and they are always guilty and should be put to death as soon as possible.

Because it's all a distraction from what really happened, this is what they want you to believe. They want to pretend this case is all wrapped up in a bow for disposal. I don't believe it. They report that this one soldier shot those kids while they slept, AFTER he had broken into their houses, one by one, without anybody fighting back? Then he loads them all up for a burn pile? No neighbors heard the shooting and ran to stop the carnage? This doesn't make any sense. Ain't no way one guy killed all those people and disposed of the bodies by himself, while the rest of this village slept. No way!
How did he get there, how did he get back to base - nobody noticed he was gone? Nobody noticed his return, with blood all over him?
What really happened?
Some of the villagers have spoken up, but anyone can understand why they would be fearful if it conflicts with the story our gov't wants us to believe.
Another thread based on a false premise. We have no idea how long it's going to take to try SSG Bales. Come 2014, MAJ Hasan may be dead and SSG Bales still hasn't stood trial. There is always a rush to convict after an alleged crime... you don't think there was a rush to convict Hasan? Just because there is a rush to trial doesn't mean it is going to happen. The legal process will kick in ... let's get back together and discuss this issue two to three years from now, shall we?

Sickening
*Thank you* This is precisely something that screams a message, but dare we state what that message is?!
Many of us are saying what this soldier is and you quoted! Sheesh...that was a slaughter at Ft. Hood but notice how we have not heard about it in a very long time, and I've been told by a soldier that Hasan hasn't been charged with his crimes.
Why is the media so quiet about it? No one does investigative reporting anymore?? Oh yes, we are very afraid to offend a certain race above others. Not "we" the people but we, the officials.
