This is not about smoking weed.

And most of the news reports now are opinions and coverage of the various groups protesting Zimmerman and the PD. The intent of this thread is to try to collect some of the known facts and witness accounts, without all the debate in the other threads.

(I'd post some of the ones I had found, but my connection is acting really flaky...I can't get the link to the Sanfort PD 911 tapes to work)
What are you wikipedia now? There's a good dozen threads on this. Why are you violating the terms of us by starting another?

I guess Zimmerman did the wrong thing by being interviewed then.

I watched an interview with his attorney on CNN. In fact, his attorney said "the hospital was too far" which seems to indicate Zimmerman never got medical treatment. There are no pictures as far as I know. Zimmerman wasn't even tests for drugs or alcohol which is standard police procedure after a shooting. (only the victim was tested)

Again, I am not convicting this man of murder, but I just don't see this as a self-defense case. Mostly I blame the police for a shoddy investigation and mishandling of a crime scene.

If Martin grabbed his gun then do they still have the gun? Were Martin's fingerprints on it? All of these tests should have been done after the shooting. Anyway, saying he went for the gun clearly shows that a 17 year old teenager saw a 250 lb angry man ready to shoot him, and people wonder why he'd try to defend himself? Zimmerman is not a cop. Going after a cop's gun would be entirely different. Zimmerman isn't even a security guard. He's not even on the HOA board of directors. He is a cop wannabe who chased bad guys and we're supposed to feel badly that he got his nose punched by a boy defending his life?

Listen to the 911 tape. If someone was coming after me with a gun while I was walking home unarmed I might do everything I could to save my life. The 911 tape is that of a very frustrated and agitated man who kept saying things like "those a-holes always get away" and "he's up to no good." Now the victim who is dead is being blamed.

Yes, it's in the initial police report.

What if Trayvon had been a dog...Anyway, if Zimmerman was attacked, where are the pictures? Ambulance records? Hospital records? Doctor that fixed his injuries from having his head slammed into the ground? Somebody? Anybody?

It seems that way, but it is good that it is being investigated, as millions of people want to know the truth. The truth may not be what many wanted to hear, but truth is the truth.
