Can you answer that please? If social medicine is so bad, why would Chavez leave his country of oil reserves for a country that has a communist government with socialized medicine to get cancer treatment?
There are a myriad of factors that go into such a decision. Social stupidity via religion retarding medicine as is the case in the Muslim world, culture of respecting medical traditions, etc. This has nothing to do with economic policy, to make a connection is a stretch to say the least.

Chavez is a dictator who is loved by the American left, his regime rules Ven. like any dictatorship would. He controls the media and has nationalized many aspects of Ven., that can hardly be called Capitalism.
