And dressing poorly is one reason that some aren't employable. Another reason is if they speak like trash.

I am truly sorry over the Treyvon shooting, but at the same time, I lost some outrage over the incident once I realize that the first pictures posted of Treyvon by his family were of him when he was only 12 years old. That was dirty underhanded media and public manipulation in my book. And I was disgusted by Obama's comment about how Treyvon looked like he could have been his son. Everyone needs to chillout and let the grand jury do its job.
And as I stated, they can go jump in a lake. People who would base someone on what they look like are people who are shallow, judgmental and completely useless in my book.

I don't give a damn if someone wears a hoodie or baggie jeans or tries to act all cool, that does not turn me off from them.

The only thing that turns me off of people is their attitudes, and that includes condescending, judgmental attitudes.

I like how he said Latinos and Black....
Like white kids are the only ones that get to wear hoodies.

As if the New York fashion police weren't enough, now we'll be forced to endure U.S. Federal Fashion Agency. Hetero-sexual males need not apply.

Yes! Many times. Big fun. Especially when they turn back to see how close the police are getting and trip over their pants.

ITA with you, Wolf...in spite of what I said in my previous post what people wear generally doesn't mean F-all to me.

This society is WAY to obsessed with peoples appearances and what they are wearing. Ability and talent seem to fall by the wayside.

Federal ban on clothing? No way. If the local municipalities and/or businesses want to try and enforce bans, have at it. But not the Federal Government. That's just outrageous. What the Federal Government might have a case for banning is News Medias who present blatantly biased stories that amount to lies that stir up trouble and put people's lives at risk and then don't open up about when the lie is exposed. Now, that is something the Federal Government might involve itself with.

I could've sworn there was some sort of foundational document that was amended specifically to keep government, federal and otherwise, from banning "News Medias". I even distinctly remember hearing of such a document being ratified. It began with "We, the People" and had a lot of good stuff in it.

Nah, I must be mistaken.

Nah, if they run from the cops, they're easier to catch when their pants fall down.

What about when lies are told by the media? What about when someone shouts "Fire!" in a crowded theater. I also ferverantly believe in the freedoms the first amendment offers but there are some exceptions.

Default Expert: hoodie ban won't work.

Expert Says Hoodie Ban Won't Work (http://www.myfoxphilly.com/dpp/good_day_philadelphia/033010-expert-says-hoodie-ban-won%27t-work - broken link)
Recently I posted about the possibility of a hoodie ban. Now an expert on hoodies weighs in, Dr. Charles Williams, PhD. He says that a hoodie ban won't work. BTW this video contains a valuable definition of the hoodie:

"It's a sweatshirt with a hood on it."

Dr. Williams says that the main problem is not the hoodie, but that kids are bored.

Dr. Williams sums it up:

"You don't have do wear your hood. When I do, I don't necessarily wear my hood. Kids do, normally when it's chilly like today."

A significant advance in hoodie science, IMO. These are the issues of our times.
