1. This bill is not actually impeaching Obama on anything. It is only stating that IF he did anything going forward - such as attack Syria - THEN it would constitute a "high crime" that is valid for impeachment proceedings. They can't pass a bill that will retroactively change the legality of what he did. Congress is prohibited from passing ex post facto laws by clause 3, Article 1, Section 10 of the US Constitution.

2. This bill would have to pass through all of the usual conduits to be made into law. How likely do you think that is to happen?

3. Congress can start impeachment proceedings against Obama at any time they want; there are already provisions for that. All they need is real evidence of major wrong doing. Real impeachment requires the House to pass articles of impeachment stating the specific charges. The Senate with the Chief Justice presiding would then try the accused. But that's not what this proposed bill is doing.

4. The media is not broadcasting this as an impeachment because it obviously isn't one. If it was one, they'd be all over it. It's not a conspiracy, it's just that the rest of the world is not composed of the same moronic base as the tin foil internet "experts".

Seriously, people...this took me about ten minutes to figure out. It's not that hard if you use your brain.

Can I ask a technical question? When there's a Presidential work-around Congress with regard to war, why doesn't Congress just not fund it?

When Obama wins his re-election come November and righties are wondering why their candidate didnt carry the day they can look at hateful rightwing attitudes like Earlyretired's offering as one of the reasons the republican ship was sunk, the majority of Americans dont ascribe to such ways of thinking.

His impeachable offenses are adding up.
This bill seems to be aimed at a war with Iran, but all he has to do is initiate a false flag here, and he's covered. This bill should be retroactive for Libya.

The Concurrent Resolution goes on to state:
Whereas the cornerstone of the Republic is honoring Congress’s exclusive power to declare war under article I, section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution: Now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That it is the sense of Congress that, except in response to an actual or imminent attack against the territory of the United States, the use of offensive military force by a President without prior and clear authorization of an Act of Congress violates Congress’s exclusive power to declare war under article I, section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution and therefore constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under article II, section 4 of the Constitution.

Then there is what he is doing in Syria.

Quote:
In addition to using child soldiers, the Syrian opposition is accused of having “kidnapped, tortured and executed members of supporters of Assad and members of his security forces” and repeating the now predictable pattern established in Libya.
Like Libya’s rebels, the Free Syrian Army is overrun by al-Qaeda operatives. The CIA, Mossad and Blackwater are calling the shots. This was spelled out in an Arab League report on the conflict.
Obama has pledged “non-lethal” assistance to the Free Syrian Army. “US officials said that the delivery of aid to rebel militias would dominate the agenda when the ‘Friends of Syria’, a coalition of Western and Arab powers opposed to Mr Assad, meet in Istanbul next Sunday,” the Telegraph explained on Sunday.
In other words, Obama – like Dyilo and Kony – is committing a war crime. He is facilitating behavior determined to be criminal and punishable by the international court run by his globalist masters.

It's not a bill, and it's not retroactive because its sponsors know it is pure penis waving. Since it is entirely without effect, legal power, significance or the remotest possibility of ever being actually passed, its purpose can only be to rile up the nut-burger base into paroxysms of futile ecstasy.

We see form your posts that it is at least working for that purpose.

The rest of the universe yawns.

This is somewhat ironic.

The tin hatters appear to spend their days "researching" new topics to fear and post in these forums. When it is met by mockery, one of said tin hatters mistakenly believes this mockery is fear, when it is anything but.
