If GZ was carrying his gun concealed, TM would not have known he was going after an armed person.
Zimmerman sounded like he was planning and setting up his own legal defense on the fly. This is obvious when he describes the kid as going for something in his "waist band"...the term sounds contrived
Having only heard the 911 tape once is not enough..it has to be studied...I have listened to it only once...but the first impression is not in favor of Zimmerman...it is overly descriptive.
He seems never to say...the boy has a gun...it's just suggestions that he does....What seems very important to the shooter is to describe a bad guy...that he is black..that is behaving oddly..that he is wearing gangish clothing and so on...Zimmerman clearly had no idea if he kid was good or bad..it was a rapid pre-judging that proved fatal to the young guy...PREJUDICE...Caused this.
A rapid sequence of events motivated by a pre-judgement caused this...Zimmerman clearly is motivated by a run away imagination...Prejudice led to this killing...Zimmerman was in fantasy land and he was armed..bad combination.

You should take your own advice. Most of your description of the 911 call is way off the mark.
In absolute terms, you're right. It was the cops that screwed up by not charging this guy in the first place. The cops told Zimmerman he could walk, so he walked. I would have walked too........and reflected on how I just got away with murder.
I think you're a few days behind. The cops wanted to arrest gz, but the state attorney declined.
Now voice recognition experts are saying that it's not GZ's voice that's screaming on the 911 tape. Looks like another self-defense theory bites the dust...

ABC News has re-digitized video of George Zimmerman taken shortly after Trayvon Martin's shooting.
Reporter Matt Gutman said the clearer video shows "what appear to be a pair of gashes or welts on George Zimmerman's head."
Gutman said the video had been "clarified" by Forensic Protection Inc. Former FBI Special Agent Brad Garrett told ABC that the clearer video shows "marks on the back of Mr. Zimmerman's head."
