There has been some research out there that evaluates what you mention. I think the general result of their analysis was that it would be better over all if we were to warm up a bit.

Global warming alarmists: We turn "It's nice out!" in to 'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are bound to be advantages as well as disadvantages, but you'll never hear the Chicken Littles talk about the advantages.

I read somewhere that for every degree of warming the zones where food can be grown moves more than 100 miles toward the polls.

imagine all that land in Russia, Alaska and Canada opening up to agriculture and the benifits to humanity!

What is funny is if you really (and I mean REALLY) believe that global warming would cause the end of humankind... wouldn't you buy just one house... one small house... one tiny house considering your kids have grown up... Al Gore really believes in what he preaches either that or he is making a lot of money from it... judging by his house, I wonder which...
