Claiming self defense isn't as tough a sell if the armed person is the one with injuries other than the bullet hole.
Zimmerman is 5'9, Trayvon was 6 feet, where do you get 6 inches taller?
Trayvon was 160 pounds, no way in hell Zimmeran is 180-200 pounds. Zimmerman looks like he's at least 225 pounds, which is not a monster, but much bigger than Martin. You may think that 65 pound difference is nothing, but in boxing that's like 4 weight classes. Any sane and reasonable person knows that an unarmed skinny 17 year old is not a serious threat to a 225 pound 28 year old man.
In a fight , reach is everything. We've already established that Zimmerman was only about 30 pounds heavier than Trayvon and Trayvon was considerably taller than Zimmerman at 6' 1". People have to stop looking at MSNBC's photos of Trayvon when he was 13. Even after they've been crucified by the real news for doctoring and mishandling evidence, MSNBC is still pushing that angle with out of date photos.
When I heard they lost contact with him I thought perhaps he committed suicide, which if that happened I wouldn't be surprised. I wouldn't want anyone to take their own life, but with the talk of him being depressed and possible PTSD, that was my first inclination. This whole situation is bizarre and sad

In a fight reach is not everything. I've seen dozens of street fights and I can tell you that 99% of them end up in grappling. When you grapple it's all about strength and skill, and speed. No way Zimmerman is 180 lbs, no way man.
Good. He's a liar and a murderer. The attorneys say they lost contact with him, he probably took the coward's way out and killed himself. I feel sorry for his parents for such a son. They should have got him some mental help instead of covering up for his violent tendencies.
Suicide would not surprise me at this point and possible it is feeling a bit of remorse. I always wondered how I would deal with shooting someone, even if completely justified.
That Obama commented on the incident at all is source enough.
