Lesbians have the lowest rates of STD transmission out of ANY demographic, no unplanned pregnancy, and no need to continuously put artificial hormones (birth control pills) into our system. We sure are unhealthy.

You could say the same thing about color, ethnicity, nationality, gender, religion etc. It's called a public forum.

I think you mean the Mayo Clinic. They have an article on health issues for gay men. I've seen 'crack-pot conspiracy sites misrepresent articles like this.

For example, gay men have higher rates of depression. But an anti-gay propaganda article would leave out the contributing factors:

"Contributing factors could include social alienation, discrimination, rejection by loved ones, abuse and violence. The problem might be more severe for men who try to hide their sexual orientation and those who lack social support."
Mayo Clinic- Health issues for gay men

The Mayo clinic also has articles about health issues for heterosexual women and men, so I'm not sure what your point is?

Not to be confused with the Mayo Clinic, which is much more well-known and respected.

I think Big George is talking about gay men as opposed to gay people as a whole.

Incidence is the number of new HIV infections that occur during a given year. Incidence is the number of new HIV infections that occur during a given year. CDC estimates that approximately 50,000 people are newly infected with HIV each year in the United States. In 2009 (the most recent year that data are available), there were an estimated 48,100 new HIV infections.[1] Most (61%) of these new infections occurred in gay and bisexual men. Black/African American men and women were also strongly affected and were estimated to have an HIV incidence rate than was 7 times as high as the incidence rate among whites. Visit the HIV incidence page for more details.

I understand that, but people need to realize that "gay" rights, also include lesbians, bi-sexuals, and transgendered people.

Notice how quickly after I predicted how the "usual suspects" will always bring up the "usual excuses" as to why being gay is wrong - and just like clockwork, it happened - in just five posts. A new record I think! Thanks Big George!

What do gay rights and being unhealthy have to do with one another? It was two different topics.

Yes people need to understand that it effects all listed above (except transgender IMO because that's not a sexual orientation but a gender affiliation) but in the case of calling it a unhealthy lifestyle separating them is valid as you did in your other post I responded to.

the fact that there's no other logical reason. since it's only affects GAY PEOPLE in either a positive or negative way

it's not a lifestyle, it's a sexual orientation. a lifestyle is chosen.
