What you forget is, that the USA, with our taxes taken from us with a boot on our throats, subsidizes those nations in Europe, so they can afford to do that crap.

Oh really? Based on your dozens of conversations with the black folks that you know? (ridiculous amount of sarcasm in that sentence) LMAO...

Black folks have more often than not had to go to government for remedies to blatant discrimination. That means all three branches. Brown vs Board of Education didn't happen because white folks got a warm and fuzzy feeling all of a sudden.

If you're gonna use my race against me in an argument, tell me whom i should trust more than government given our history? The White Citizens Council?

We fully finance all European countries? Well, bless my soul! I'm sure that will come as a surprise to them...like Santorum and his euthanasia gaffe did.

So how are they a bunch of fools then? They don't make us do it. We're idiots on our own accord.

Are you?

I don't give a damn about it myself. You seem to think it's pertinent to this topic for some reason. So you know...it is what it is.

How about government actions such as the Fugitive Slave Act and Jim Crow laws? What about all them lynchings with local law enforcement involved? What if governments had never had the power to enslave or mistreat individuals? What if the inalienable rights that were enumerated in the Declaration had applied to blacks?

What you should understand from our nation's history is democracy is heavily flawed and governments need limitations so minorities are not oppressed by a democratic majority.

Europeans do not understand the concept of inalienable rights because they have been ruled by Kings, Nobles and Bureaucrats throughout modern history. A continent of serfs.

The Greeks and Romans sucked? The influx of information from the Middle East after the Crusades sucked? The Renaissance sucked? LOL! Sure...

I think that, viewed on its own, government-led overhaul of health care makes total sense. We face a lot of other mandates, after all.

I do understand that Obama's folks weren't able to articulate a compelling limiting principle to this case, which is probably necessary in order to get the mandate to stand. Naturally, I wouldn't want to see this law to be used to extend government control in a lot of other ways beyond health care.
