No, he's saying that central planners should be at lower levels of government (state, county, municipal).

I think the death of the suburbs and even exurbs nationally continues to be greatly exaggerated.

Is Suburbia Doomed? Not So Fast. - Forbes

Sure, they are not growing as fast as they once were and that's probably a good thing, although I suspect a lot of it is to do with the economy, which is not so good.

I know in St. Louis, the 2010 census data showed that most of the growth was still in the exurbs and the core city continued to lose population:

Census shows city is 'hollowing out'

The most recent census estimates released in 2012 confirm it is still happening:

St. Louis region's population growth lagging that of nation (http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/metro/region-s-population-growth-lagging-that-of-nation/article_5d588480-a6fb-51d9-acf7-7d821cd8337b.html - broken link)

80% of the US population will live in a Urbanized Suburb or City by 2050.....an Urbanized Suburb is walkable and dense , but still has the freedoms of a more open suburb. These suburbs grew in NJ while the exurbs shrunk....same happened all over the Northeast and Midwest...

Middle class families having fewer children as opposed to urban lower economic class families having more. How hard to figure out is that?

I've been to the North east. It seems to me that is one big city, from Boston, to Philly, to DC. Just one big damn city.

The Urbanized suburbs fill in the gaps between the cities , there peaceful suburbs...theres more a sense of community pride in them vs the Auto suburbs were no one seems to talk to each other or get along. Those towns aren't doing so well.

That link had nothing at all to do with Agenda 21. I just threw that in so people like you could have an excuse. You do, however, know all about Agenda 21 and ICLEI I am very sure.

I see that you failed to read the link I went to so much trouble to provide. It was about an exurb of Chicago and sure enough it grew slower than the suburbs in Chicago. Maybe you should read the link, just for fun.

Do you have any idea why I threw Agenda 21 in in my OP? Maybe it was the ICLEI worshiper who lives at your house.
