I think the Pres and Dems are asking those that take 43-45% of the wealth out of the Economy, should contribute something, at least close to that percentage, for running the business of the Nation.
Aren't the ones who take the wealth out of the economy those who are using the majority of public services and paying NOTHING at all back into the system in the way of federal or state income and property taxes?

I think it is odd that we have spent billions every year on education, research, whatever... and now Obama wants to take millions more away from people to do what exactly? Yeah, I don't buy it either... he's a bad liar... he likes to use words like "education", "research" to get people interested but he is really saying, give me your money so I can spend on whatever I want which won't go over with the public too well..
When the pols speak of taxing the upper class it's just codespeak for the fact of their plan to alleviate any further corporate responsibility and load the burden on the backs of those who aren't really in the top two or three per cent. It's the job of both parties to protect corporatism, not the individual, whether they be rich or not..
It's pretty funny how the people with no real money (mainly poor/lower middle/middle class Republicans) are the one's complaining about "socialism" and "spreading the wealth" the most.
