Ho-hum, forced redistribution of wealth by the government has been going on since I don't know when, surely before President Johnson.

Any collectivist / communist / marxist worth his salt can lie most sincerely and repeatedly.

From the Communist manifesto:
"In this sense, the theory of the Communists may be summed up in the single sentence: Abolition of private property."

American law expressly protects private property.
Collectivists intend to STEAL private property.

They would have to be idiots to admit to that in public.

What will he do with the money?)

In other words, the impact will be so miniscule that we'd never even know that an additional $3B was collected.

Barack Obama thinks you're stupid. He only wants you to hear "tax on millionaires" so that he can collect your vote. That's his only purpose.

{DING DING DING} We have a winner here. Obama likes them stupid, infact he counts on the stupid ones.
Yes he only tells people that in which he thinks they want to hear, then does as he plans, his agenda. He'll get the vote any way he can.

I'm all in favor of private property, and especially in favor of allowing the poor to have and to acquire some.

If American law expressly protects private property, how do you explain Kelo?

Private property rights are being eroded.

Wealth can be redistributed upward through monopoly business or dowanward through government programs. I preffer the latter because I am not nor ever intend to be a businessman.

In otherwords, you are ready to accept that which you did not earn but which the government took from others. Generally the receipt of stolen goods is not something which society sees as a good thing. Why is it acceptable to you when it is the government doing the stealing?

There he goes again: This week Obama tells us he is NOT "redistributing wealth"

So, what's your opinion on the very clear redistribution of wealth proposed by Rep. Ryan and endorsed by Mitt Romney? That's an actual proposal, not one conjured in the middle of the night by the aluminum foil hat crowd.

Government steals in both directions. For example, Michigan subsidizes homeowners by taxing business and rental property four times as much for schools. That's like a couple billion dollars a year redistributed to homeowners from everyone else.

And I've never heard any conservative complain about it - indeed, the nonhomestead tax was created by Republicans.
