This country was founded on freedom and liberty, not a teet to leech off because you don't want to work. Conservatives are tired of working hard, paying our taxes, dealing with government BS in our small businesses! Why does the government want to hinder us?

Thank you for reminding us why right wingers are simpletons, sometimes I forget. I blame conservatives, we haven't had any kind of liberal president since Jimmy Carter. Clinton and Obama are center-right and as corporate tied as any Republican. A true left in America would go a long way in bringing this country back to its glory days. You don't see people in Norway or Sweden claiming their month long paid vacations and universal health care are awful.
When the right takes over, the country becomes the rich 1 percenters and the rest of America goes deeper into the third world. Look how well the liberal governments of Mexico and Brazil are increasing their middle class while the Obamney corporate raiding politicians on both sides get fat on their right wing policies while America rots
I don't understand the logic of why conservatives want to cut education and money for scholarships. I don't understand why conservatives have fought Obama tooth and nail about infrastructure improvements like national high speed rail. Is it just to annoy liberals that conservatives want to actively keep America behind? Is it because conservatives know better education would kill their support? Or is it that conservatives just aren't bright enough to see more than a few hours into the future
Conservatives feel quite strongly that everyone should be proud and resourceful enough to stand up on their own two feet and pay for everything they need in life without running to the government to get it for free. It's as simple as that. Where conservatives fail so miserably in their philosophy is inspiring everybody to do just that.

Most countries that have had extreme inequality (feudal systems,etc) are trying to diminish it (e.g., Mexico). We are the only country in the world that is saying "Hell yeah!, let's make damn sure 5% of the people have 80% of the wealth, so they can buy all the lobbyists, bankroll misinformation networks, make corporations citizens, and dominate our lives in every way!" Oh, and those unions and government agencies that fight for living wage and provide campgrounds, national parks, nonpolluted water and air for the people? Kill them!! THEY'RE EVIL!!!!!!!!
So dumb it is actually kind of funny, and sad. I just have to think the uber rich are pinching themselves. They have these attack dogs who just need a pure diet of propaganda, and they will fight to the death against their own self-interest. You honestly would never believe any group of people would be so foolish for so long. Truth is stranger than fiction.

I see what you are saying, and culturally, I share this view completely. I can't stand layabouts, or corporate scum who fleece their fellow citizens. And I agree we need to have a cultural shame factor for those who freeload and cheat.
However, it is absurd to take this to the extreme where you start believing we need no government or that we need no regulations or fiscal and environmental safeguard. Conservatives distrust the government, probably with good reason, but they place blind faith in the ethics of the market, which has shown repeatedly it will create fraud, deceit, and dangerous products. Government is out tool to protect ourselves from enemies and threats at home and abroad. We need both government and industry, and all the rightwing demagoguery is just braindead daydreaming. Anyone who spews that crap has no place in congress or the White House. Laissez faire economic will never work, and it never has. We need leaders who will work to improve the system we have, not continuously bray about how they hate the government they so desparately want to control.

You and other conservatives have NEVER shown a culture where laissez faire economics does well.
We've been so far from laissez faire economics for 60 or 70 years now that it hardly matters. All we do is go back and forth between Corporate Cronyism and Government Socialism. Really they are just 2 different forms of oppression and yet the elites get us to fight with each other about which one is better. It's all a big joke, and the joke's on us.
