U.S. National Debt Clock : Real Time I know this is hard to fathom...but...money does not grown on trees.

Now, that we have dispensed with the straw-man supposition, we can deal with the real stupidity here and get you on your way to some real education and understanding.

I completely concur with your first three words. You do not understand.
Conservatives believe in the individual. Liberals believe in a utopian collective, that has never, will never be successful on a national scale. Sure, the odd hippy commune will have a modicum of “success”, but even the microcosm examples are rife with politics, elite classes and soft tyrannies.

If the individual is to have pride in himself, he must succeed by the work of his own hands, the strength of his own spirit and the power of his own intellect. Handouts rob the individual of this unique experience, relegate him to a common experience and marginalize his exceptionalism.

It’s not that Conservatives do not want people educated, they simple want people to responsible for their own purchases. There are a myriad of educational options and an equal number of ways to pay for them. Conservatives do not wish to be forced to pay for other peoples purchases. This is not because they are greedy, it’s because they value their own choices and wish to have the economic freedom to purse them. You infringe on one person’s liberties when you force him to pay for someone else’s choices.

High speed rail is NOT an imperative! I challenge you to find even one rail project that was not fraught with massive cost over-runs, corruption and scandal. They are ideal for tight, cramped, urban living situations, but the majority of Americans do not wish to live like servile sardines, save for a handful of socialistic elitist in New York and San Francisco.

“Keep America Behind” ? Nice to know where you stand! Try saying that in North Korea sometime!

To you next point, “Conservatives know better education would kill their support?”, statistically the uneducated, unwashed, subservient, aid recipients are overwhelmingly democrats. Ever seen footage of a conservative praising “The Leader” because he’s going to pay for their mortage, pay for the gas for their car, etc etc?

Obama Is Going To Pay For My Gas And Mortgage!!! - YouTube

The liberals in this country foster a culture of dependency because, once you have the people dependent on you, you own them! It is soft tyranny. Liberals pander to the lowest common denominator so they can claim to be the only ones fighting to raise them up. Fact is, if you raised them up, they would no longer be dependent on you and they would be Conservatives!
Liberals like to confiscate other peoples money, bundle it and call it “aid”. Then, they like to boast about how many people they have receiving aid. Conservative boast about how many no longer require it!

Again, you reveal your arrogance and that of other liberals when you talk of “seeing into the future”. You say that Conservatives can’t do that and, by implication, liberals can. If liberals actually have this ability, why is it that every culture that has attempted this socialist experiment has failed spectacularly and the people they suckered into it have suffered so greatly??? How well is it working in the predominantly liberal communities like Detroit and New Orleans?

It may be time for you to learn a bit more about this country and what it actually is the Conservatives are fighting to protect.
Better said then most on here!!!!

Redvelvet709 is spot on!

This country was built on the individule! Some tried and failed, but that doesnt mean the process didnt work. Others came later, learning from the lessons of those that came before and succeeded.

Believing in the individual is not a luxury, its an imperitive!

why do democrats want the USA to become more like europe or the rest of the world?

I enjoy freedom and dont want anymore goverment intrusion and would like the goverment scaled back instead of giving it more power against its own citizen.

anything I can do that would put a monkeywrench into the works of stalling more encroachement of freedom minded principles is a good thing and not a bad one.

Country is a collective. The individual would be living in isolation. Try that.

You, sir, don't know your history!
I suggest you read the Federalist Papers. It will help you gain an understanding of the founding out this country.

(weird little misunderstanding you have that somehow "promotion of the individule" equates to "group thinking" in your mind. )

Individuals still need community and family. It is not good for man to be alone. That does NOT negate that we are individuals.

Because it's currently fashionable among the dittohead/teabagger wing of the GOP to celebrate ignorance as a virtue.

It's not that complicated. The GOP will oppose any measure that might possibly cast a favorable light on the president. Anything that would be good for America might give the public the perception that Obama is doing a good job.

They've very publicly announced that their top priority is to make Obama a one-term president. They've given up all pretense of acting in the nation's best interest.
